渋谷駅(東急百貨店) - Shibuya Station (Tokyu Department Store)

  1955(昭和30)年5月27日、ハチ公銅像の立つ渋谷駅西口の様子。中央左の黒っぽい建物は国鉄渋谷駅。右のビルは駅に直結した東横デパート。都電の渋谷駅前停車場もあった。
  現在の渋谷駅西口。左後方のビルは、渋谷駅東口の東急文化会館跡地に昨年春建った34階建ての複合商業施設「渋谷ヒカリエ」。

  Shibuya Station West Exit where Hachiko dog statue stands on May 27, 1955. The dark building on the center right is Shibuya Station of Japanese National Railways. On the center left is Tokyu Department Store’s Toyoko store which was connected to the railway station. There was a streetcar station in front of Shibuya Station.
  Shibuya Station West Exit today. On the left in the back is 34-story multi-purpose tower Shibuya Hikarie, built on the former premises of Tokyu Bunka Kaikan at East Exit.
